Deltek Vision Support Ends
December 31, 2026

Your PSA is changing. Your intelligence layer doesn’t have to.

6 months remaining on cloud-hosted Vision

What’s happening

Vision’s end-of-life timeline, in plain language.

Your investment in Vision served your firm well. Here’s what the transition actually means for your day-to-day operations.

January 2026

Final update shipped

Vision 7.6 received its last software update. No new features, no hotfixes, no regulatory updates, and no security patches will follow.

December 31, 2026

Sustaining support ends

Deltek's official support contract expires. This means no more phone or ticket support for Vision issues — you're on your own.

Q1 2027

Cloud-hosted instances shut down

If your firm uses cloud-hosted Vision (Deltek First), Deltek will shut down your instance entirely. You will lose access to your ERP. This is not a degraded experience — it is no access.

Ongoing

On-premise installations continue — but decay

Self-hosted Vision will keep running, but with no security patches (increasing vulnerability), no regulatory updates (tax and compliance risk), no bug fixes, and eventually no third-party integrations as vendors drop support one by one.

Deltek’s recommended path is migration to Vantagepoint — the same company, a different product. Other firms are moving to Unanet AE, BQE Core, or Ajera depending on firm size and complexity.

Your migration options

Four paths forward. ProLens works with all of them.

Wherever you land, ProLens connects to your new PSA on day one. No rebuilding dashboards. No waiting months for reports.

DV

Deltek's recommended path

Deltek Vantagepoint

  • Same underlying database architecture as Vision
  • 6–12 month implementation timeline
  • $50,000–$150,000 migration cost for a 50-person firm
  • ProLens works with Vantagepoint on day one
See Vantagepoint integration →
Un

Growing competitor in the A/E space

Unanet AE

  • Full ERP with built-in CRM capabilities
  • Different data model — full re-implementation required
  • Strong support for architecture and engineering firms
  • ProLens works with Unanet on day one
See Unanet AE integration →
BQ

Popular with 25–75 employee firms

BQE Core

  • Modern interface, lower cost than Deltek
  • Project accounting and time tracking built in
  • Faster implementation than Vantagepoint
  • ProLens works with BQE on day one
See BQE Core integration →
DA

For firms that don't need VP's complexity

Deltek Ajera

  • Tighter integration of PM and accounting
  • Lower total cost than Vantagepoint
  • Best fit for smaller A/E practices
  • ProLens works with Ajera on day one
See Ajera integration →

The real cost

What firms lose during migration.

ERP migrations are expensive in ways that don’t show up on the implementation invoice.

  • 6–12 months of disrupted reporting during implementation
  • Custom reports built over years in Vision don't transfer automatically
  • Staff retraining on a new interface — 10 to 20 hours per employee
  • Temporary drops in operational efficiency as workflows change
  • Historical data may not migrate cleanly to the new system
  • Leadership is essentially flying blind during the transition period

How ProLens helps

Wherever you’re going, ProLens goes with you.

ProLens is built on top of your PSA — not inside it. Swap the PSA, keep the intelligence layer.

Before migration

Connect on day one of your new PSA

The moment your new system goes live, connect ProLens. Pre-built dashboards populate immediately. No waiting for custom reports to be rebuilt from scratch.

During migration

Keep leadership informed throughout

While your team learns the new PSA, ProLens provides the executive dashboards and project visibility that keep principals informed. Your client portals stay active throughout the transition.

After migration

Nothing changes in your intelligence layer

ProLens continues delivering AI insights, client portals, and cross-platform intelligence on your new PSA. Your leadership dashboards look the same. Your clients notice nothing changed.

“Wherever you’re going, ProLens goes with you.”
